The western part of the hill and the lower parts of the eastern parts are the natural sections of the district. Godavari and Bhima are the major rivers in the district. Godavari river flows through the northern border of Ahilyanagar district. Pravara and Mula are her tributaries. Land is divided into black reddish, black brawl and white.As per census 2011, 1584 villages (Ghanegaon, Sujalpur and Gondhavani along with three deserted villages) are dispersed in 14 talukas in the district. There are 14 Panchayat Samitis, 1311 Gram Panchayats, 1 Municipal Corporation, 9 Municipalities, 1 (Shirdi) Nagar Panchayat and 1 Cantonment Board.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
